The new deadline given by Government of India to re-verify mobile number with Aadhaar is 31st March, 2018, and residents who fail to link their mobile number with Aadhaar Card before the deadline date would get their mobile numbers deactivated.

Before we start with the process on how to re-verify MTNL Number with Aadhaar on IVR from Home let me tell you the requirements, and they are:
  1. MTNL Mobile Number which you want to re-verify
  2. Your Aadhaar Number
  3. Your Aadhaar Registered Mobile Number (it will be required to receive OTP)
So if you have all the above things ready with you, than you can start with the process.
  • From your MTNL Mobile Number just dial toll free number 14546.
  • Listen to voice instructions and Select your preferred language and Nationality.
  • Provide consent to proceed further.
  • Enter your 12 digit Aadhaar Number when asked to enter.
  • IVR will recall the Aadhaar Number which you have entered to confirm.
  • Confirm it, and provide your approval to share your demographic details with MTNL as received from UIDAI.
  • You will receive one time password on your registered Aadhaar Mobile Number.
  • Enter the received otp when prompted.
  • If any more mobile numbers which you wish to re-verify than Key in the number (count) of mobile connections registered in your name other than the number you are calling from.
  • Next you will be asked to enter each of the mobile numbers on the IVR. Once these are entered, re-verification will be completed Note: These numbers will not be considered as Aadhaar verified.
  • An SMS will be sent to you in 24 hours for confirmation on the number verification.
  • That’s it this is how any resident of India can verify their MTNL Mobile Number with Aadhaar from Home. The IVR based verification facility is available only for Indian Nationals who have a Mobile number registered with their Aadhaar number.

Can I re-verify my MTNL number with my Aadhaar using the 14546 IVR while I am roaming internationally?
No. The IVR short code 14546 will not be accessible to MTNL customers while dialling from outside India. 
Does my Aadhaar number need to belong to the same city/state as my MTNL connection?
Yes. It is essential that the Aadhaar number being used for re-verification belongs to the same city / state.
For eg: Customers with a Mumbai MTNL number can only enter an Aadhaar number having a Mumbai address 
On which number will the OTP be sent while verifying the number on 14546 IVR?
The OTP will be sent to the Mobile number which you have registered with your Aadhaar number. This number can be a Non-MTNL Number as well 
I have an Aadhaar number, however I do not have a mobile number registered against my Aadhaar number. How can I re-verify my number with Aadhaar?
There are two ways in which you can complete re-verification:
i. Personally visit any of our Aadhaar enabled touchpoint (MTNL Stores or Retail outlets) with your active SIM and your Aadhaar number to complete the re-verification using the finger print scanning process.
ii. Visit any UIDAI / Aadhaar centre and get your mobile number registered with your Aadhaar. Once registered, you can complete the verification by calling 14546 IVR 
I was requested to enter other MTNL mobile numbers I own on the IVR, will those numbers be considered as Aadhaar verified as well?
No, those number are only captured for information purposes. If not verified, those numbers will have to be verified separately with Aadhaar 
Is there a restriction on the age of the Aadhaar card owner?
Yes. For Prepaid connections, the owner of the Aadhaar card has to be at least 16 years of age and for postpaid connections, the owner of the Aadhaar card has to be at least 18 years of age. 
Will ‘ALL’ Customers be allowed to complete their re-verification via 14546 IVR?
No. Only Indian Nationals having an Aadhaar card and an Aadhaar registered mobile number will be able to complete their re-verification on the IVR. 
Will Foreign Nationals be able to verify their number via IVR?
No. Foreign Nationals will not be allowed to re-verify their number via this IVR. Instead they can visit the MTNL website at www.mtnl.net.in/ and follow the process to re-verify their MTNL connection.
